MILL AND PASTA FACTORY

The Mill: the technical heart of our knowledge

Less than 10% of Italian pasta factories own their own mill: De Matteis Agroalimentare is among the very few Italian companies to have its own milling plant directly connected to the pasta factory. We monitor every stage of the wheat processing, from cleaning to milling, to ensure consistently fresh semolina and a unique flavor for our pasta.

The Flumeri pasta factory

We produce using advanced manufacturing techniques and respect the environment.

Our Flumeri plant is equipped with integrated milling and pasta-making systems for transforming wheat into pasta. The semolina is transferred directly from the mill to the adjacent pasta factory, where it is mixed with pure water from the Irpinia springs.

ARMANDO's master pasta makers monitor every step of the production process to ensure the quality of the raw materials is preserved and their organoleptic characteristics are preserved.

A pasta that's also good for the planet

We have worked to reduce logistics-related polluting emissions by reducing raw material imports from abroad, creating one of the most important Italian durum wheat supply chains in the country. Thanks to the cogeneration plant that powers our factory, we are able to produce Armando Pasta sustainably.

Every year, we avoid:

2,565 tons of CO₂

2,096 tonnes of oil equivalent

38,000 MWh of heat recovery

OUR COMMITMENT

We care about the health of the planet and that's why we designed a pack that can be entirely recycled as paper.

A small contribution, a big gesture.
